It took just 12 seconds for the 25-year era of the Georgia Dome, one of the NFL’s most iconic stadia, to be reduced to dust as it was imploded. Built in 1992, the home of the Atlanta Falcons was once the largest covered building in the world, but damage to the roof forced team owner Arthur Blank to build the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium adjacent – a marvel in engineering and design once again.
