Just days before the long-awaited opening of the US Bank Stadium, home to the Minnesota Vikings, the US$1.1bn venue’s heralded glass aspect was marred by a broken window.
An observant season ticket holder took to Twitter to report the smashed pane, noting that the immediate area featured a bed of decorative rocks – though it remains unclear exactly who smashed the window.
The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority has filed a police report based on surveillance footage of the incident, CBS Minnesota reports. Panels of glass installed at US Bank Stadium are custom made, which could lead to delays before the pane can be replaced.
