English Premier League club Liverpool FC has announced that construction equipment and vehicles have moved into Anfield stadium to continue work on the expansion of the main stand. The project has accelerated now that the Premier League season has concluded, and access to the main stand from inside the stadium means that further work can begin, including the removal of old seats and the deconstruction of the stand’s existing roof. The expansion will add around 8,500 seats to the stadium, taking total ground capacity to approximately 54,000.
