Daktronics has been selected by Camelback Ranch-Glendale (CR-G) in Glendale, Arizona – the spring training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox – to manufacture and install a new LED video display in right-center field.
“The new scoreboard and shade structures are part of the world-class amenities that make Camelback Ranch the best place for residents and visitors to come enjoy a premium fan experience as they cheer on their favorite teams,” said Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers.
The new LED display will be 30ft high, 50ft wide and will feature a 13HD pixel layout –technology that is used in professional level stadium applications. It will provide excellent image clarity and contrast with wide-angle visibility as well as incorporate industry-leading environmental protection to ensure optimum functionality.
Capable of variable content zoning, the display can show one large image or it can show separate windows of content including any combination of live video, instant replays, game information and statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
“We are very excited to be a part of the improvements to CR-G for this upcoming spring training season,” said Rusty Lenners, Daktronics sales representative.
“The entire CR-G team was fantastic to work with throughout this process and we look forward to the impact the new video display will have on Cactus League fans coming into the ballpark.”
