The Association of Professional Venue Management (A-PVM) has been launched at Wembley Stadium. The not-for-profit association has been created to exchange knowledge, develop content, support education and organize events for the venue industry, including conference and exhibition centers and multifunctional arenas.
The formal structure of the association has been established by Paul Anderson (former ESSG), Simon Smith (Wembley Stadium) and Dimitri Huygen (MannaC). The board of directors further consists of Lotta Nibell (GOT Event AB), Stephan Lemke (Stadhalle Braunschweig), Özgür Erdoğan (Passolig), Kirill Makarischev (VTB Arena Moscow), Frank Elorriaga (Bilbao Exhibition Center), Tomas Gronager (Clean Event Group), Vince Connolly (CBRE) and Robert Else (TERRAPLAS).
Simon Smith, A-PVM president, said: “We are convinced A-PVM will play an important role in the education of all levels of professionals within our industry and that the association will work extremely hard to organize top-class events that are relevant to all members of the association.”
In the upcoming weeks the A-PVM website is scheduled to be up-and-running with articles, membership biographies and partnership profiles. The first A-PVM event will be organized in Gothenburg.
