SHEERFILL Architectural Membranes are used as permanent tensioned membrane structures in the sports, transportation, retail and specialty markets. The composite materials used in these membranes are made of fiberglass and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). SHEERFILL Architectural Membrane fabrics are available in a range of strengths and light transmission levels, providing the user with a choice of membranes to cover virtually any size structure from a full-sized stadium to a relatively small skylight.
Complementary materials are also available from Saint-Gobain, featuring the same non-combustible fire performance and long, low-maintenance life as SHEERFILL Architectural Membranes – FABRASORB Acoustical Membrane and SGM Shade Mesh.
Fabrasorb Acoustical Membranes are used as interior liners in SHEERFILL® Architectural Membrane systems. The Fabrasorb material is used to attenuate sound and enhance the thermal characteristics of fabric roof systems. Fabrasorb Acoustical Membrane materials are translucent, porous composites.
SGM Shade Mesh materials are used in façade and shading applications for SHEERFILL® Architectural Membranes including custom façades, modular façades, architectural umbrellas and more. The mesh construction of the material allows for more lighting to enter the space and allows for air to circulate through the fabric.
