In a detailed 6-minute video posted by Light Touch Media Group, a new vision for Soldier Field – home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears – was unveiled. The concept video and plans were laid out by Landmark Development, led by CEO Bob Dunn. The developer has been advising Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on the proposed stadium renovations, which could cost upwards of US$2.2 billion, providing a mixed-used entertainment and transit development .
The proposal is led by the Reimagine Soldier Field Coalition, a group of civic, community and business interests focused on the future of Soldier Field. Their primary objectives include the development of a new tax base & revenue, job creation, generating year-round tourism, and increased accessibility for businesses, residents and civic interests. This includes plans for establishing Chicago’s Near South Side as a regional transit hub.
