As MLS side DC United nears completion of its new home, Audi Field, the soccer club has announced two venues for the home matches against Houston Dynamo and Columbus Crew.
With the team’s new soccer-specific stadium due to host its first DC United home game on July 14, the Maryland SoccerPlex and Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium will serve as the club’s temporary home venue in the interim.
DC United will take on the Houston Dynamo at the Maryland SoccerPlex on March 17, before facing Columbus Crew at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on April 14.
Since 2001, the Maryland SoccerPlex, located in Montgomery County, Maryland, has frequently served as a home venue for DC United during Lamar Hunt US Open Cup early round matches.
Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland, is the home of the United States Naval Academy Midshipmen football and Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams. The field has hosted the Military Bowl Presented By Northrop Grumman since 2013 and has served as an off-site training site for the Baltimore Ravens.
