The city council of Budapest, Hungary, has approved a list of venues that will form part of a bid for the 2024 Olympic Games, GamesBids reports.
Part of the project includes a 60,000-seat stadium, to be used for track and field events; a velodrome; tennis complex; and temporary facilities for a number of events, including beach volleyball and archery.
In keeping with a popular recent design model, the new venues would be designed to be downsized after the games, with the new track and field stadium (which will also host the opening and closing ceremonies) reduced to a capacity of 15,000.
