The home of Chinese Super League soccer team Shanghai Shenhua’s has been engulfed in flames, reports the BBC. The fire at Hongkou Stadium took place on Tuesday morning, though no casualties have been reported. The club’s twitter account was taciturn about the incident, simply stating: “Hongkou Football Stadium was on fire earlier today. No casualty.”
The BBC also notes that the state news agency claimed that the fire had not affected the stands or the pitch, and that the investigations into the root cause of the blaze were still being investigated.
