Ticketmaster Germany and the National Football League (NFL) announced their partnership for the upcoming NFL Germany Games. The NFL will use Ticketmaster’s industry-leading sports ticketing technology to elevate all aspects of the experience for European fans.
Alexander Steinforth, NFL General Manager, Germany, said: “The NFL has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with Ticketmaster and we are very pleased to be extending this into Germany. Their marketing power and industry-leading ticketing solutions have helped the NFL bring the sport to a new audience and to committed fans, and I look forward to seeing this in action around our historic series of games in Germany.”
Ticketmaster already enjoys a long-standing global partnership with the NFL, having partnered on the London Games since 2007, alongside its highly successful partnership with the NFL in USA.
“Like all NFL fans in Central Europe, Ticketmaster is thrilled to welcome the regular-season games to Munich and Frankfurt,“ said Klaus Zemke, Regional Vice President Central Europe, Ticketmaster. “Germany has one of the largest NFL TV audiences outside North America, so it’s no surprise that demand for tickets is enormous. We look forward to providing a first-class experience to fans for what is set to be a great new sporting tradition here in Germany.“
As part of its International Home Marketing Areas initiative, the NFL announced last year that four teams – Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers – were to be granted access to Germany for fan engagement, marketing and commercialization. The first regular-season game in Germany will take place at FC Bayern Munich Stadium, with Frankfurt Stadium to also host in future years.
