Lancashire Cricket Club has appointed SecuTix as the new ticketing provider at the club, which will provide new software and technology for both organizers and fans attending Emirates Old Trafford.
The new cloud-based 360° ticketing technology will enable online 3D views from reserved seats to help visitors better visualize their selection, while also providing the ability to buy and scan tickets directly from smartphones. This will not only help speed up the ticket sales process but will also help eliminate issues arising from lost tickets and speed up entry to the venue.
As for the business operations at Lancashire Cricket Club, the new technology will be used in a bid to enhance ticket sales and sponsorship by integrating CRM functionality to create personalized offers to users and fan engagement.
“We wanted to partner with a modern technology company that could support our digital ambitions as a business. The industry has been dominated by ticketing companies that focus on selling bulk tickets with a business built on booking fee charges and the secondary market,” said Daniel Gidney, Lancashire Cricket Club’s chief executive.
“Our members and supporters can look forward to a much improved ticketing service and we are delighted to be working with an organization like SecuTix at this exciting time in Lancashire Cricket Club’s history.”
Emirates Old Trafford is scheduled to host an Ashes Test in 2019 as well as five ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures, which will provide the ideal test for the new ticketing solution.
