Olympique Lyonnais has signed a deal with online secondary ticketing platform Viagogo. The deal will see Viagogo offer tickets to all the club’s home games across its network of 55 international websites.
Viagogo already has partnerships in place with Paris Saint-Germain and Roland Garros in the French market, but neither deal is focused on selling tickets direct from the property to an international audience.
“As French football continues to develop its revenues and broaden its international appeal, we needed a ticketing partner that could help us reach our overseas fans,” said Xavier Pierrot, Olympique Lyonnais’ stadium manager. “We chose to work with Viagogo because of its international footprint and innovative technology platform, which enables people to search for tickets in their own language and pay in their own currency.”
