The NBA’s Dallas Mavericks have partnered with Tixsee to debut a new immersive ticket shopping experience on team’s website, Mavs.com.
Tixsee takes Mavericks fans on a virtual tour of the American Airlines Center, including restaurants, seating sections, suites, concession stands and fan shops, providing a realistic perspective from all seating locations and giving fans a new ticket and merchandise buying experience.
“We’re excited to give our fans a new, interactive way to tour our arena and find the perfect seat to a Mavs game,” said Ken Bonzon, chief technical officer of the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks are the first professional sports franchise to deploy Tixsee’s software on a 360º panoramic virtual tour powered by Google Street View, and will utilize the largest Google Business View virtual tour ever shot and published to Google Maps. The tour is comprised of 12,444 high-resolution panoramic photos stitched together to create 1,037 360º images.
“Our vision is to partner with organizations like the Dallas Mavericks to create engaging and entertaining experiences for fans,” said Brett Dowling, president of Tixsee. “We believe the conventional methods of ticket shopping delay the fan experience and do not provide the content that fans most value.”
