English soccer team Charlton Athletic FC has announced it is to implement ticketing, retail, loyalty and access control systems from Green 4. This integration will begin with the adoption of the Go Ticketing system for the 2015/2016 season. Both companies state that the long-term investment in the club’s technology infrastructure will streamline administrative processes and improve their relationship with fans.
In a statement on Green 4’s website, Charlton Athletic’s operations manager, Tony Keohane, highlights the importance of a proven and innovative technology platform: “This club strongly believes in the use of technology to enhance the relationship between the club and our loyal supporters. By integrating key touch points with the fans, such as ticket and retail purchases and streamlined stadium access, we can dramatically improve the customer experience. Print-at-home tickets, mobile tickets and membership cards improve the convenience to the customer. In return, the club gathers amazing customer insight that allows us to be far more proactive and personal with our communication, while engaging new fans.”
Peter Oliver, director of Green 4, added, “We are delighted to welcome Charlton Athletic FC to the Green 4 family. Their vision to focus on the use of technology to engage with fans is entirely shared by Green 4, and we very much look forward to working with a partner where putting the customer at the center of their organization is the primary motivation. We look forward to helping both the club and its fans benefit from the insight our technology and marketing services will help deliver.”
