Launching during next year’s Wimbledon 2022 Championships, a completely new, on-trend hospitality concept will be experienced at the world’s oldest tennis tournament.
UK hospitality provider Keith Prowse has announced The Treehouse, within The Lawn at The Championships, Wimbledon.
The menu, designed by Tom Sellers, Chef Patron of the two Michelin starred Restaurant Story, will be based around premium British produce and will be available exclusively within The Treehouse.
Designed for families or corporate parties, the space is located above The Lawn, with cantilever balconies overlooking the luxurious garden space, The Treehouse incorporates a range of more informal seating styles including banquette, small tables, sit up bars, and lounge spaces. An exquisite culinary experience of delectable treats will be continuous and flowing, offering guests more freedom to enjoy food and drink at their leisure – allowing them to form their own schedule around matches.
Designed with a new social media-savvy audience in mind, The Treehouse will use vibrant colors across interiors, furnishings and food to bring a heightened sense of fun. Two live cooking stations in uniquely designed birdcages will allow freedom of movement; guests will be encouraged to explore a range of culinary delights prepared in their presence.
Alongside exclusive entry to The Treehouse, guests will have full access to The Lawn’s grounds including the garden where guests can dip their toes in a cooling foot stream and relax in the Whisky and Cigar Bar. Official packages will include a range of options for No.1 Court and Centre Court tickets.
The food will feature a wholly British menu focused on sustainability and ethically sourced, seasonal produce from smaller suppliers, the culinary experience will be a key focus of The Treehouse. In keeping with the venue’s more informal style, the menu will be centered around small plates that can be easily circulated and enjoyed standing. A range of bespoke cocktails crafted by mixologists will be served alongside plates to complement and draw out the flavors of the food.
With a food service that will span seven plus hours, menus which remain work in progress will be served alongside live cooking that will showcase seafood stations, and afternoon teas.
Andy Vinsen, managing director of Keith Prowse commented:
“We are really excited to be adding a completely new experience to our already successful, award winning product range at The Championships, Wimbledon. Research undertaken in 2019 confirmed that premium casualization has changed the landscape of how we dine and purchase. Pared back design, well considered food and communal experiences are trends that hit the mark for millennial guests, hence The Treehouse was born. A key pillar of our strategy is to constantly innovate, not for innovation sake, but to meet the evolving needs of our customer base. We are truly excited about this new concept and look forward to welcoming guests in June 2022.”
Tom Sellers, chef patron of Restaurant Story commented:
“My team and I are excited to be working alongside Keith Prowse to create a new hospitality offering at this iconic British event. This is a truly collaborative effort with both teams sharing a joint vision and continuously working to the same high standard. The menu is in progress and we’re proud to be hero-ing and championing UK suppliers, supporting UK fisheries and telling a story through the food. We want only the freshest, most sustainable, local products. We really look forward to the summer of 2022 and welcoming guests to this new space at Wimbledon.”
