A week-long poll conducted by English Premier League soccer club Liverpool FC supporters union, Spirit of Shankly, has revealed widespread support for installation of rail seating at soccer stadia.
Following Spirit of Shankly’s consultations and discussions on rail seating, members and supporters were asked whether they were in favor of, against or undecided on the introduction of rail seating areas in grounds.
The poll showed that 88.21% of almost 18,000 voters were in favor; 5.04% were against; 4.8% didn’t feel they knew enough and wanted to know more; and 1.96% were undecided.
