The Reading Fightin Phils, a minor league baseball team playing in the Eastern League, has announced the newest addition to the 66-year-old FirstEnergy Stadium in Pennsylvania, USA. The Savage61 Dugout Suite will be situated on the first base side of the venue, and will offer fans a customized VIP experience.
Sitting 18 inches below ground level, the dugout area accommodates 56 people and features comfortable seating close to the action on field, personal waitress service, the option to purchase the Dugout Suite-exclusive Bull’s BBQ, all-you-can-eat buffet, and open bar. A ticket to the Dugout Suite also allows access to a pre-game cocktail warning track party with player meet-and-greets.
The suite will feature 34 chair-height seats in the front row, while the second row will consist of 22 bar stool seats in the second row, beneath the dugout roof. Both rows feature a counter in front of the seats running the entire length of the dugout. Much like the Fightin team dugout, all seats are protected by netting in the front. The area will be completely accessible for guests with disabilities.
“The Savage61 Dugout Suite will offer our fans top-of-the-line VIP treatment right here in America’s Classic Ballpark,” said Fightin Phils general manager Scott Hunsicker in a statement on the team’s website.
“Everyone wants to sit in the dugout, and now you can. We have been searching for many years for the right place to introduce this level of VIP treatment with waitress service and we finally have found the perfect place to do so. The Savage61 Dugout Suite will fit the nostalgic atmosphere of FirstEnergy Stadium and [provide] a whole new perspective in one of baseball’s most unique settings.”
The project will cost US$200,000 in private funds and will take approximately eight weeks to complete. The team plans to debut the suite on March 31.
