Daktronics has partnered with Stanford University to design, manufacture and install a center-hung display system. Installation is scheduled for this summer at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, California, USA.
The center-hung display configuration will include four main displays each measuring approximately 8.5ft high by 15.5ft wide. The main displays will feature 6mm line spacing and industry-leading wide-angle visibility for a superior viewing experience from any seat in the house. Variable content zoning allows these displays to show one large picture or to show smaller zones filled with any combination of live video, instant replays, animations, scoring information and sponsor advertisements.
Four corner displays will complement the center-hung configuration by adding approximately 70ft² of display space. These displays can showcase event sponsors and enhance the game day experience by showing up-to-the-minute statistics and game information.
“It is an honor to continue our long-standing partnership that spans over three decades with Stanford University,” says Eric Cain, Daktronics sales representative. “Daktronics is grateful to play a part in Stanford’s rich history of tradition and excellence. The new center-hung and auxiliary displays will add yet another level of excitement to an already outstanding game day experience at Maples Pavilion.”
Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
