English Soccer side Sunderland FC will invest in a technology makeover this summer after announcing it will install new fan engagement displays throughout the Stadium of Light.
The 49,000-seater stadium will offer fans new ways to interact and consume content by placing 100 displays in concourse, hospitality and VIP areas of the venue and present matchday news and social feeds provided by Eleven Sports Media.
The club’s official partner will deliver its StadiumTV and StatTV to the displays, which offer club news, promotions, and social media channels. Fans will also benefit from a live and interactive matchday channel from StatTV, which has statistical content including detailed information on the Black Cats players and key talking points from the games. A StatTracker also provides analysis throughout the matchweek and reflects on key moments on a matchday.
“I have seen StadiumTV and StatTV in action at other sporting venues, and it will be a welcome addition to the matchday experience for all supporters at the Stadium of Light,” said SAFC’s managing director, Tony Davison.
Eleven Sports Media’s proprietary platforms can be found in more than fifty sports venues across the UK from the top clubs in the Premier League to the Rugby Union Premiership, and Jockey Club courses.
“We are passionate about the experience of sports fans and believe the content they consume throughout their matchday plays a huge part in the quality of their visit,” said Eleven Sports Media’s managing director, Matt Cairns.
