Salisbury University selected Daktronics to design, manufacture and install the new LED video display and sound system at Sea Gull Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland, to improve fan experience at football, lacrosse and other special events within the venue. Installation was completed early this fall and the display is currently operational for university events.
“The video board and integral sound system installation surpassed my expectations,” says Matt Groves, Salisbury University project manager. “It took our previous scoreboard and sound system and elevated them into the 21st century. They now match the caliber of our athletic teams and the facility that they play in.”
“Salisbury University has done a fantastic job of renovating Sea Gull Stadium and this video display is a testament to their commitment to the fan experience,” says Josh Francois, Daktronics sales representative. “The new technology will bring excitement to fans, student-athletes, alumni and community members, at any number of events held at the stadium.”
The display measures 17ft high by 30ft wide and features a 15HD pixel layout to bring crisp, clear imagery and wide-angle visibility to fans inside the stadium. It is capable of variable content zoning, which allows it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replays, scoring and statistical information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
