Birmingham-based Elonex has announced a three-year partnership with Aviva Premiership Rugby side Newcastle Falcons at the club’s Kingston Park Stadium in the northeast of England, UK.
As the new official visual technology partner to the club, Elonex will supply the latest digital display technology and bolster the continued technological development of Kingston Park.
Work will soon be underway on upgrading stadium concourse LED screens, while the installation of new digital kiosks around the venue will give Falcons fans a taste of what Elonex is set to bring to the club, as its digital display experts look to develop future plans for stadium visual technology.
Elonex is a leading developer of sports stadium visual technology, and already work closely with several other Aviva Premiership rugby clubs. This new partnership is intended to enhance the match day at Kingston Park, while also presenting new and innovative digital advertising opportunities to brands looking to target audiences at top flight rugby union.
Announcing the partnership, Falcons managing director Mick Hogan said, “We’re delighted to extend our current partnership with Elonex and look forward to working with them on a number of technology developments. Now that we own the stadium once again we are able to further develop the facilities for the long-term benefit of our supporters.”
Nick Smith, CEO at Elonex, added, “We’re very much looking forward to bringing our digital expertise to Newcastle Falcons and to supporting the club in its continued commitment to develop its stadium into one of the very best in the Aviva Premiership.
“Elonex has a successful history of delivering the latest in stadium visual technology across major sports, and with the spectator experience ever evolving in rugby we’re here to ensure visitors to Kingston Park receive a first-class digital offering on match days.”
News of the new partnership with Newcastle Falcons is the latest in a string of high profile agreements Elonex has struck in the world of professional sport during 2015, and follows recent confirmation of similar deals at Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Northampton Saints Rugby Club and Gloucester Rugby.
