A new visual experience is coming to Gauchos games as Saddleback College is adding a new LED video display at its sports complex this year.
The college’s football and soccer fans will see one of the largest video boards in South Orange County when a 17 x 39.5ft LED display is installed at its facility in Mission Viejo, California.
Designed, manufactured and delivered by display expert Daktronics, the new video board will feature 15HD pixel layout and wide-angle visibility with the ability to show variable content zoning, which can split the display to show live action, replays, stats, and messages.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Saddleback College,” said Tom Coughlin, sales manager for Daktronics Sports Marketing. “Their new video display will not only bring Gaucho Gameday to a new level of excitement and fan interaction but will also present all kinds of new opportunities for generating revenue and providing educational opportunities for students.”
With its installation at the open-air facility, it will also feature protection from the outdoor elements and the environment.
“The focus has been to provide our student-athletes, coaches, staff and community the best facility possible,” said Randy Totorp, athletic director and assistant dean at Saddleback College.
