Warwickshire Country Cricket Club, which plays its home games at Edgbaston Stadium, has announced a new partnership with PTI Consulting to develop new technologies at the ground.
As part of the deal, sports and entertainment venue specialists PTI Consulting will be responsible for enhancing match day, conference and event experiences as well as supporting environmental and organizational efficiencies.
While the announcement did not detail what kinds of enhancements fans might expect to see, it did suggest new systems and experiences could be in place before Edgbaston’s summer of major match cricket, which includes five games in the ICC men’s Cricket World Cup.
“The vision for match day experience that Edgbaston hold is aligned to the PTI Consulting philosophy in this area. Technology underpins so much of a stadium’s delivery and we pride ourselves on delivering strategies that enable commercial growth and operational efficiency, with the focus being on the impact for fans,” said Mike Bohndiek, managing director at PTI Consulting.
