English Premier League soccer club Watford FC’s Vicarage Road ground will have a new-look for the 2016/2017 season following the installation of innovative digital content channels on screens in concourse and hospitality areas.
The Hornets are the latest club to adopt Eleven Sports Media’s leading content channels, featuring live stats, original content, social media feeds and commercial advertising opportunities for local and regional businesses.
tadiumTV is recognized by fans across the country for bringing the latest match action, club news, team line-ups and match details to concourses, and now features the club’s Twitter and Instagram channels as part of the broadcast.
Watford fans will also be able to enjoy live and interactive data performance stats with the installation of all-new portrait style StatZone screens. With live, minute-by-minute data, StatZone will give Hornets fans a new perspective on their favorite players – as the action happens.
The new channels will feature as part of a wider partner program for Watford – a multi-channel and fully integrated commercial platform that will offer local businesses and brands of all sizes the opportunity to gain huge impact by becoming a part of the fabric of the club.
The new partner program brings together the best of Watford’s matchday experience, including digital and traditional touchpoints, reaching fans throughout every stage of their matchday journey. In addition to StadiumTV and StatZone, brands will also feature on Eleven’s unique Crowd Facing LED technology, a new twist on the traditional pitch-side LED advertising.
Speaking about the role StadiumTV and StatZone will play in the partner program at Watford, Eleven’s managing director, Matt Cairns said, “We are passionate about the in-venue experience of UK sports fans with each of our products offering a different purpose for supporters. Although Watford becomes the 11th Premier League club on our books, they become the first to house all five of our award-winning products, ensuring Vicarage Road will be amongst the most advanced in-stadium experiences in Europe.
“Watford are enjoying one of the most exciting periods in their history and we are delighted we can play a small part in that. Our partnership with the club not only improves the fans’ experience but also the business community as our products and services become central to the new Watford FC Partner Program.”
Spencer Field, commercial director of Watford Football Club said, “Quite apart from the fact that Eleven’s in-stadia content offering will provide compelling match insight to our fans, a major reason for working with them is the resultant expansion of our partner program. As a club that has deep roots in its community, it is imperative that we can offer local businesses a chance to be a part of our Premier League journey. The relationship with Eleven provides us with a range of assets that enable us to significantly broaden our commercial packages for 2016/2017.”
