The cost of renovations to the north end zone at Kinnick Stadium – home to the Iowa Hawkeyes – has approximately doubled in the last 10 months, according to The Gazette.
The news outlet has seen a 2017 fiscal year report that lists the project cost at US$75m, a significant increase on the US$35-40m costing initially reported. The Gazette also reports that the shortfall will be made up by the University of Iowa through private donations, bonds and department revenue.
