With English Premier League soccer almost secured for the 2016/2017 season, south coast club AFC Bournemouth has revealed plans for a new South Stand at its Vitality Stadium.
The new structure will replace the current, temporary stand, which was installed in 2013 following the club’s promotion to the Championship – the second tier of English soccer.
The new stand will increase the stadium’s capacity by 27% – from 11,464 to 14,529. The South Stand itself will hold 4,559 spectators, while two new corner stands will each hold 428. Wheelchair spaces will be available at pitch level, disabled toilets will be provided at ground and first floor level, with a changing room also located on the first floor.
