English Premier League soccer side Tottenham Hotspur FC has announced the details of two test events to be staged at its brand new 62,062-seater stadium as part of a safety protocol before it can officially open its doors on September 15 against Liverpool FC.
To obtain a safety certificate the club needs to host two events at the stadium, with increasing number of attendance; the first will be a fixture involving Tottenham’s Spurs Academy youth squad on August 27, followed by a Legends fixture where former stars of the club will face-off against Bayern Munich Legends on September 1.
As the final pieces are being put in place to the stadium, the club will also hold two operational and orientation days for club and stadium staff, as well as suppliers, on August 4 and 19.
The capacity of both events are yet to be announced but they will be ticketed with club season ticket holders being given priority for tickets, while a ballot for each event will be held for supporters looking to obtain a ticket.
