Following news that the NHL has approved an expansion franchise for Las Vegas, casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has announced that he wants to bring an NFL team to the city, reports The Huffington Post.
Adelson and a development group have reportedly proposed a new, US$750m domed football stadium, the article continues, to be funded by taxpayers. Adelson wants the stadium to lure the Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas. In January, Raiders owner Mark Davis missed out on the chance to move the team to Los Angeles as his team lost out to the St Louis Rams.
