UK professional association football club Huddersfield FC has revealed that the playing surface at John Smith’s Stadium (also known as Kirklees Stadium) in Yorkshire is undergoing full refurbishment ahead of new football season.
The work will ensure that any damage or wear sustained is fully repaired and will restore the surface to pristine condition, ensuring that it is once again in the best position possible to remain robust throughout another challenging season.
Work has simultaneously begun to clean the famous white arches of John Smith’s Stadium, bringing one of the most recognisable features of the stadium back to its former glory.
The club says the work reinforces its commitment to its home as it approaches the 30 year anniversary of its first fixture at John Smith’s stadium, after moving from the old Leeds Road in 1994.
