Ever since US company Sports Authority declared bankruptcy in March 2016, the naming rights deal the brand has with the Denver Bronco’s stadium has been something of a touchy subject.
This week, the deadline for bids on the contract – which still has five years to run – came and went with no confirmation of any interested parties. Sports Authority has payments due on the deal, with the stadium naming rights expected to revert to the Metropolitan Football Distric, Fox 31 reports.
