Sport Collective has been appointed by English soccer side AFC Wimbledon to find a naming rights partner for the club’s proposed new 20,000 capacity stadium.
The League 2 club has submitted a full planning application for a new ground at Plough Lane – home to Wimbledon FC for 80 years – in southwest London. Like the club, the new stadium will be entirely owned by the fans.
“It’s been no secret this club wants to move back home to Plough Lane and now we have the opportunity to do so,” said AFC Wimbledon chief executive, Erik Samuelson. “To help make this a reality and to continue the club’s growth we want to work with brands who share our ethos and vision.”
