English Football League Two club Accrington Stanley FC have announced a new stadium sponsorship deal that will see the team’s ground renamed the Wham Stadium. The deal sees What More UK sign up with the club, and the team’s shirts will also carry branding from What More partner company PlasticBoxShop.
The 5,057-capacity ground has been the team’s home since 1968, and had previously held the record for the Football League’s smallest stadium – before losing out to Crawley Town’s Broadfield Stadium.
The stadium sponsorship deal, which local press state could be worth around £200,000 (US$312,000) to the club, will run until 2018.
