The University of Notre Dame in Iowa, USA, will add another accomplishment to its rich history by installing a new LED lighting system at the Notre Dame Stadium.
The LED lighting system will be provided by Musco, which has a long-standing relationship with the university that dates back to 1997 when it installed the stadium’s first permanent lighting system.
The new system showcases custom optics that will reduce glare, significantly reduce energy consumption and eliminate maintenance costs, while the university also has a 10-year parts and labor warranty.
Jeff Rogers, vice president of developmental sales of Musco lighting, said, “We’re proud to continue our partnership with the University of Notre Dame. The new system will assist the university as it strives toward sustainable energy practices, offering players and fans the best possible experience.”
A senior director of utilities and maintenance at the university, Paul Kempf, echoes the sentiments expressed by Rogers, saying that they look forward to advancing the quality and efficiency of lighting technologies to support the university’s “vision and mission.”
Notre Dame Stadium will now join a list of extensive premier facilities to benefit from Musco’s lighting solutions, including three NFL franchises and one English Premier League soccer team.
