English Premier League (EPL) soccer team Arsenal Football Club has announced that it will install new LED floodlights at its Emirates Stadium in time for the 2015/16 EPL season.
Installation of the new floodlighting system will be undertaken during the summer by an American supplier. Emirates Stadium will join a list of facilities around the world to install this particular LED lighting solution, including Twickenham Stadium, the Houston Texans’ NRG Stadium, the Denver Broncos’ Field House, and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Arsenal’s stadium and facilities director, John Beattie, said: “We have been in Emirates Stadium for nine seasons and need to ensure we have the best possible conditions for players and fans for the future. The supplier’s proposal meets our needs for top quality lighting within the ground on matchdays and varied in-stadia events.”
