Construction of the 60,000-seat new Perth Stadium has reached another milestone as the first concrete slab on the ground level has been poured.
The pour is one of many that will be undertaken over the next 13 months as the five-tiered stadium structure is constructed. This concrete, along with more than 2,300 concrete piles, will provide the necessary structural support.
Construction remains on schedule across the Burswood Peninsula site with a current workforce of approximately 100. The workforce will peak in mid-2016 and approximately 5,700 are expected to be involved in the project during the three-year construction phase.
