Multiplatform developer VenueNext has announced that US Bank Stadium, the new home for the Minnesota Vikings, will be outfitted with its technology. The Vikings and VenueNext will be updating the team’s mobile app for the 2016 NFL Draft this month. Fans attending the Vikings Draft Party near the downtown Minneapolis stadium on April 28 can enter using digital tickets on the Vikings app.
Throughout the upcoming football season, Vikings fans at the stadium will use the Vikings app to bring a new level of convenience and control to their experience, including digital ticketing, wayfinding, food, beverage and merchandise ordering, loyalty rewards, push notifications and video content. The team will also leverage data generated by those services to improve offerings to fans.
This is the third professional football team to adopt the technology, after the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys.
