The Detroit Lions has appointed Verizon for the installation of a new wi-fi network for Ford Field in Michigan. The club revealed in a statement that, when completed, the new network will enable fans to more easily share their in-stadium experiences.
“We listened to Lions’ fans and are thrilled to announce this project is underway,” explained Abby Knowles, Verizon’s executive director, network, on the team’s website. “We’re working to install the new system as quickly as possible so that we can bring the best experience to fans at every home game.”
Verizon and the Detroit Lions are working closely on the build-out and expect the project to be completed before the end of the year.
