Fans and visitors to Welford Road Stadium, the home of English rugby union side Leicester Tigers, will see a new line-up of F&B options next season as the club has announced Levy UK as its official caterers.
Retail concessions around the stadium will be given an overhaul to offer new experiences, concepts, technology infrastructure, speed of service and new technology such as cashless payment.
The partnership with Levy UK, a market leader in sports stadium hospitality and also catering supplier to the likes of Twickenham Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium, and Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge, will begin on June 1 ready for the new season later this year.
Details of what can be expected at the 25,849-capacity stadium include new menus, a broader range of options, additional retail outlets and a focus on enhancing popular drinking outlets. The ABC and Crumbie bar will be given a Leicester Tigers feel, brought to life with the club’s heritage and memorabilia adorning the interior. The Old school room will be reinvigorated as fans enjoy more personal experience. Levy UK is also working closely with local brewers to enhance the beer technology, service delivery and products served on tap.
Andrea Pinchen, commercial director at Leicester Tigers said: “The club is dedicated to improving everything we do, and we know catering is a massive element of many supporters matchdays. Levy UK has demonstrated their capabilities over many years, and we’re pleased to have them on board.
“The team share our love and passion for sport, and we know how much the fan experience means to them and this was the key factor in our decision to enter this new and exciting partnership.”
