As the new Raiders stadium in Las Vegas progresses toward its 2020 opening date, the team has announced its official paint partner, PPG.
The Pittsburgh-based paint company will put sporting rivalry aside to provide the modern 65,000-seater stadium, built off the Las Vegas strip, with protective and decorative coatings in a multiyear corporate agreement.
“We are honored that PPG has extended its commitment to the Raiders organization as we work toward building a new stadium that embodies the spirit and excitement of Las Vegas,” said Tom Blanda, Raiders Senior vice president of stadium development and operations. “PPG’s expertise and ability to provide coatings that offer long-term protection with striking aesthetics made them an ideal partner for this project.”
The new home of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders will see the team relocate from Oakland, California, to the state-of-the-art venue that will offer views of the Las Vegas strip thanks to a large opening in the horseshoe-shaped architecture. Not only will it be home to the Raiders, it will also be the home for UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas) football and host a number of other sporting and entertainment events.
