As well as a potential new quarterback star in the form of Lamar Jackson, the NFL’s Balitmore Ravens will give its fans more to celebrate after announcing it will be reducing the price of concession prices at M&T Bank Stadium.
When the 2018 season kicks off, fans will be able to purchase food and drink at a lower price in a move that will help the franchise encourage more fans to games and offer a more fan-friendly option akin to the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons overhauled its F&B menus when it moved into its new Mercerdes-Benz Stadium in 2017, seeing popular food items such as hot dogs and pizza reduced by 50% to just US$2 each. The result saw an increase in sales and revenue despite the drop in price.
Ravens owner Steve Biscotti admitted the organization was taking a “hard look” at reducing concession prices and the exact details of the concession prices would be revealed at a news conference later this week.
The reduced concession pricing initiative is proving a smart business decision for many teams who are continuing to struggle with filling seats on game day.
