London Stadium has announced that it has signed a five-year partnership deal with Coca-Cola to be the venue’s official soft drinks supplier until 2023.
Formerly the centerpiece stadium of the London 2012 Olympic Games, London Stadium is currently home to English Premier League soccer side West Ham United FC and the long-term deal will see Coca-Cola’s full range of European Partners products stocked in all kiosks and suites.
Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke, Coca-Cola Classic, Fanta, Sprite and Abbey Well water will be served for premier league fixtures and all other events held at London Stadium including athletics, concerts and the first Major League Baseball fixture to be played in Europe when the Boston Red Rox and New York Yankees face-off on June 29 and 30, 2019.
“We are excited to welcome Coca-Cola and their full range of soft drinks to London Stadium, and are delighted to have agreed the partnership,” said London Stadium chief executive officer Graham Gilmore.
In 2018, London Stadium played host to its biggest summer concert series to date, welcoming nearly 450,000 fans to the venue across six events through May and June. As well as plans to attract the biggest names in music to the venue, London Stadium will host a variety of sports other than soccer to reaffirm its status as a multipurpose venue.
“Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) is delighted to have signed a new long-term contract with London Stadium. The stadium and our products have some great history – starting in 2012 at the Games. We look forward to partnering with the London Stadium as it evolves and grows as a world class stadium, that hosts some of the planet’s biggest and most exciting music and sporting stars – as well as continuing to support and inspire a new generation of athletes,” said Kelly Healing, senior manager leisure at CCEP GB.
