After reporting last week that the home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars is making all of its seats available for the forthcoming 2018-19 season, further changes are to take place at the stadium with news that a new name is planned to hang above the door.
Since 2010 the stadium has been commercially known as EverBank Field but from 2018 naming rights will be taken over and the stadium will be called TIAA Bank Field. The name change comes following TIAA completing its acquisition of Jacksonville-based EverBank in June 2017.
Although the name changes will have to be officially approved by the City of Jacksonville, the Jaguars’ president Mark Lamping released a statement expressing the team’s excitement to work with TIAA Bank as a corporate partner.
Further details were not announced, however it is expected that any naming changes to facilities would happen around mid-2018.
