Bulldog soccer and volleyball fans will be cheering the sight of two new LED video displays that are set to be installed on campus later in 2018.
Mississippi State Soccer Field and Newell-Grissom Building are to receive new Daktronics displays with the former measuring 18 x 32ft and the latter 10.5 x 16.5ft. Both are designed to deliver improved image clarity and wide angle visibility.
The display installed for Bulldogs soccer games will feature a 15HD pixel layout and be built with protective technology to withstand being exposed to the elements.
Meanwhile, the display installed at the Newell-Grissom Building will feature 6mm line spacing for greater picture quality and an inward curvature on the panel, and also have stat panels on each side to keep fans informed during the match.
“The installation of new videoboards at soccer and volleyball will provide an enhanced game day experience for our fans and student-athletes,” said MSU director of athletics John Cohen.
Each display is capable of variable content zoning enabling them to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
