Primary Accountabilities
The Masters of Sports Administration (MSA) program at Ohio University is widely recognized as one of the elite programs in our field. It has been ranked the #1 post-graduate sport business program globally in 5 of the past 6 years (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017) by Sport Business International and Ohio University recently celebrated its 50th anniversary offering post-graduate sport management education.

The sought candidate to lead the program will have a strong academic and professional background. They will be hired as a full-time term faculty member at the Executive-in-Residence level, and will need to be willing to relocate to Ohio University’s main campus in Athens, Ohio.

We are seeking candidates who hold a graduate degree (PhD, MBA, MSA or other) and has vast experience in senior leadership roles in industry, particularly the sport industry. They have taught at the university level and have a strong network.

Salary and benefits are very competitive and are based on qualifications. A record of thought leadership and a history of being a successful manager is required.

The expected start date is either August 2017 or January 2018.

Further opportunities in the College to teach in the summer, teach/manage international programs, and executive education exist.
